Many have heard how in 1917 the Mother of Jesus Christ appeared repeatedly to three little shepherd children near Fatima, Portugal. They may have heard that she taught them the proper way of praying the Rosary, namely meditating on the mysteries of Jesus Christ while praying the Hail Marys. Far fewer are aware that Mary was a Catechist at Fatima. Few understand why every Pope since Fatima was approved in 1930 have said: “Fatima is a reaffirmation of the Gospel.”

Many do not realize that Our Lady of Fatima had a message for the whole world and for the universal Church. The Message of Fatima really begins with an Angel teaching the children how to receive and adore the Blessed Trinity and the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. The profound message ends with Mary leading us to the Blessed Trinity and adoring the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, true God and true man, in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar.

Many have not yet realized that the message of Our Lady of Fatima was a call to the family to return to holiness. Such is the mission of the Fatima Family Apostolate International founded by Father Robert J. Fox at the encouragement of the Vatican.
